Research Focus at QCRI

Raggi al Hammouri is a Research Assistant at QCRI’s Data Analytics Group. His research interests lie in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and big data social analytics.

In Fall 2015, Raggi held a research affiliation at Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory on secondment from QCRI, where he developed a processing pipeline for collecting and cleaning geo-tagged social media image datasets.

Prior to joining QCRI in early 2014, Raggi was a Computer Scientist and Artificial Intelligence Specialist with Williams Advanced Engineering, WilliamsF1. He worked effectively on the WilliamsF1 road safety and driver training simulator, developing artificial intelligence solutions for simulating realistic traffic behaviors and training scenarios with dynamic unpredictability and aggression factors.

He obtained his BSc in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar in 2013.
