I have joined QCRI because of the great scientists and the great research opportunities they offered me.

Research Focus at QCRI

At QCRI, Paolo’s current main interests are in data quality: how to help users in increasing the value of their data. It is well known that data available within organizations is dirty and we are building a system, Nadeef, that sets the new state of the art for the data cleaning process.

Previous Experience

Previously, Paolo’s most important results have been in the area of information integration. In particular, he explored new formalisms and algorithms for the problem of translating data between heterogeneous repositories. He has been working also on automatic Web data extraction and integration.
