Senior Scientist (10 years post PhD)/Scientist (3 years post PhD)
Senior scientists and scientists are expected to contribute towards the research efforts of QCRI and to develop research expertise to tackle the research challenges in the areas mentioned above. The scientist will work as part of a research team, collaborating with peer researchers and software engineers to develop solutions, necessary prototypes, and intellectual property in the form of disclosures and patent applications. A PhD in computer science from a top-tier institution and a strong record of major accomplishments and publications are required.
Senior Software Engineer (minimum 9 years experience) /Software Engineer (minimum 6 years experience)
Senior Software Engineers and Software Engineers will lead and be actively involved with researchers in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of application systems developed in-house. They will establish technical objectives, design and execute work-plans, and manage software development projects as appropriate. Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and a minimum of six years (senior software engineer) or three years (software engineer) of progressive and directly-related experience.
Post Doctoral Researcher (0 - 2 years post PhD)
Qatar Computing Research Institute offers post doctoral positions to qualified candidates in our six focus areas of computing research: Arabic Language Technologies, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Distributed Systems, Social Computing, and Computational Science & Engineering. Post docs are employed for a defined term of two years, contingent on satisfactory performance assessed annually, with the possibility of extending by one additional year. The candidate must be a mature scientist with theoretical and applied skills. A PhD in Computer Science from a top-tier institution and a record of notable achievements is required.
